The official site of McFarlane Toys has released official pictures of the forthcoming Series 4 of the NHL Sportspicks range. This series features three netminders and six skaters and only one of these - the Tommy Salo - is a repaint of an existing figure. I was a little surprised to see Salo included in this seris havng already appeared in Series 2 but the Oilers have a new 3rd uniform, Salo has a new mask and Todd McFarlane is an Edmonton fan - all make sense? Anyway the line-up is - Jarome Iginla (Flames), Mike Richter (Rangers), Ron Francis (Hurricanes), Jocely Thibault (Blackhawks), Ilya Kovulchuk, Jeremy Roenick and the already mentioned Tommy Salo. The Kovalchuk and Thibault figures immediately stand out as different to what has been done before! According to the site these should be hitting US stores in January 2003. |
